Aftershocks jolt Chakwal twice

Aftershocks jolted the area twice on Sunday, creating panic among the people. However, no loss of life or property was reported from any part of the district. The first jolt was felt at 13:30 but remained only for a few seconds. The second jolt came at 14:32 and it was of minor intensity. In the mean time, an announcement was made in various mosques on behalf of the district coordination officer in Chakwal asking the people to stay in the courtyards of their houses fearing another earthquake during the next 24 hours. The DCO has set up a relief centre at the Civil Defence office where cash and other valuable article for the affected people of will be collected.
