SOS Pakistan’s relief plans
The SOS Children’s Villages of Pakistan on Sunday announced its emergency relief plan for the earthquake victims of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
SOS said it would immediately send dry food rations, milk and water to Muzaffarabad for 1,000 victims. SOS also made arrangements for providing shelter in Islamabad to unaccompanied women and children from Azad Kashmir and asked the Azad Kashmir civil administration and army to assist in identifying and transporting them to its (SOS’) temporary shelter in the capital.
The SOS project in Muzaffarabad sustained a lot of damage during the earthquake and therefore it was unable to provide shelter in the area. SOS also requested all those who wanted to help give funds for relief goods to contact the organisation at 051-2201125 or 042-5866546. SOS’ emergency plan for Hazara district would be announced soon.
