India: J&K to get more than Rs 100 cr immediate relief

Rediff reports that: "Union Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee ... said the Centre had sanctioned Rs 100 crore for relief and rehabilitation of earthquake victims of Jammu and Kashmir and another Rs 42 crore would be provided from the Natural Calamity Fund."

The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund(PMNRF), provides immediate relief to people in distress. The Fund depends entirely on voluntary donations received from the public.
