5 million will need help

Multi-agency teams of aid workers have entered the affected region. Preliminary reports suggest that Rawalakot suffered 90% damage, while Bagh is all but destroyed.

According to the multi-agency teams, 5 million people in the region are in need of assistance. The UN estimates 4 million people have been affected, a million of them seriously.
