MercyCorps & AmeriCares collecting aid

MercyCorps (about) is raising funds for Earthquake relief.

Americares (about) is also raising money and coordinating with local groups to send supplies of medicine to send from Amsterdam. They haven't yet specified an Earthquake-specific fund on their donation page, but you could specify that that's what you want your donation used for in the comments.

MercyCorps reports 92% use-of-funds efficiency, and AmeriCares has received the highest 4-star rating from Charity navigator. MercyCorps six-months-out post-Tsunami progress report is here. AmeriCares press release about its Tsunami fund is here.

Please, help me. I'm Mr Giancarlo from Italy and looking for some news about my friends in Srinagar: they are the SHAGOO Family, owner of the house boat Zulekha, located on the Jelum river, near Zero Bridge. I don't have any news from them, phones lines are not working and I'm very worried. If any of you has news about this family, mail to giancarlo.pagliero@libero.it

I repet: SHAGOO FAMILY.
Manzoor, Sultan, Ghulam, Shabir Shagoo

Thanks a lot.
