India: Parts of Aman Setu sink due to earthquake
A part of the Aman Setu, a key bridge on the Line of Control near Uri, on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road link has sunk due to the massive earthquake that hit the region.
"Two piers of the Aman Setu have been damaged on the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir side and has sunk there. It is now unoperational," Defence spokesman Colonel J S Joneja said.
"I would assume that even crossing the bridge by foot would be hazardous," he said.
